About Edinburgh

The capital city of Scotland, Edinburgh is situated within the central lowlands of the country’s east coast between the Pentland hills & Firth of Forth. Its rugged setting and vast mix of Medieval, Georgian and award-winning contemporary architecture mean Edinburgh is considered one of the most picturesque cities in Europe.

Edinburgh’s central Old Town & New Town districts have been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Divided by the picturesque Princes Street Gardens and overlooked by Edinburgh Castle, the whole area plays host to miles of winding streets to explore, shops to browse and restaurants to enjoy.

The city is full of cultural attractions, including the Castle, more than 20 Museums, Holyrood Palace, the Scottish Parliament, Botanic Gardens and even a distillery or two. To learn more, click here.
