Invited Speaker: Carbon Particles
Dr. Thomas A.J. Kuhlbusch works at IUTA (a co-institute of the University of Duisburg-Essen) where he is head of the “Air Quality & Sustainable Nanotechnology” Unit. His research is focused on airborne particles from micro- down to nanometre scale. Research areas covered include sustainable nanotechnology, development of particle measurement techniques, air quality, modelling, emissions, abatement strategies, source apportionment and human exposure. Sustainable nanotechnology includes development of measurement strategies, workplace and exposure related assessments to nanoparticles, as well as studies on agglomerate stabilities. He has published more than 200 publications and is actively involved in national and international activities related to particles, exposure and health effects.
