Assoc. Prof. Stig Olsen is an associate Professor at the Department of Management Engineering, Technical University of Denmark. He holds expertise in methods development for assessment of environment and resource efficiencies, toxicological assessments of chemical life cycle assessment, method development and practice, environmental assessment of micro/nanotechnologies & sustainability assessment.

Assoc. Prof Olsen’s principal area of research is environmental assessment of products and systems, which includes research into topics such as assessment of how a product impacts the environment in relation to e.g. climate changes, toxicity and acid rain throughout the whole life cycle of the product. More recently, his focus has been on environmental assessment of micro/nano production.
